J-1 Student Categories
The J-1 Exchange Visitor visa status has many different categories. J-1 students must receive a substantial portion of their funding from a source other than personal or family funds.

- There is no maximum duration of stay so long as the student is making progress towards the educational objective.
J-1 Student [Non-Degree]
