International students admitted to full-time degree programs may have the option to consider either the F-1 student or J-1 Student visa. Below is a chart outlining the basic eligibility requirements as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. Most international students at Johns Hopkins University will only be eligible for the F-1 student visa. The primary factor when determining which status is most appropriate is generally the source of funding.
