Beginning, July 1, 2020, Central HR will assume the responsibility for processing the I-9s for students, staff and faculty of the School of Medicine (SOM) who are foreign nationals or legal permanent residents.
Until further notice, Central HR will continue to utilize the Remote I-9 process which requires all employees to complete Section 1 of the I-9 before presenting original support documents to an Agent of JHU (a colleague, relative, roommate, Notary Public) to complete Section 2 or Section 3 (Reverifications) before signing to certify that they have seen the original documents in the presence of the employee. All Agents must provide a relationship (spouse/parent/relative, roommate, Notary) and use a JHU address in the Certification section. Unless the hiring manager has provided an alternate JHU address, we strongly suggest the use of: JHU@Eastern, 1101 E. 33rd Street, Suite E001, Baltimore, MD 21218 for this purpose.
