Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a 12-month work authorization allowing international students to remain in the United States and work immediately after program completion. Participants of this workshop will understand the eligibility requirements for OPT, deadlines to apply for OPT, necessary steps for OPT application, and reporting requirements for students once they are in their post-completion OPT period. OIS recommends all eligible students apply for OPT as early as possible due to expected USCIS processing times.
