International Education Week (IEW) is a nationally recognized celebration held each November that highlights the impact of global learning and cultural exchange. For over 25 years, IEW has brought schools and institutions together to showcase the people, programs, and stories that connect us across borders. Organizations like NAFSA, The Forum on Education Abroad, and AIEA continue to champion this tradition, reminding us that international education is essential—not just for career readiness and global competitiveness, but for building understanding and connection in today’s world.
At Johns Hopkins University, the Office of International Services (OIS) proudly supports and celebrates IEW by hosting events, sharing student stories and experiences, and creating spaces for meaningful conversations about global citizenship. Whether you’re an international student or scholar, a study abroad alum, or simply curious about the world, IEW is a chance to come together and celebrate the diverse experiences that make our campus community so vibrant.
