Premium Processing Fee Increase
USCIS announced in the Federal Register that the fee for premium processing will increase from $1,225 to $1,410. The fee increase will go into effect following a 30 day notice period. H-1B petitions filed under premium processing on or after 10/01/2018 must be accompanied by the new fee.
H-1B requests submitted to the OIS through iHopkins on or after 09/04/2018 will be subject to the new premium processing fee. Cases already in process with an OIS advisor may require the new fee if the case is not complete and ready to file with USCIS by 09/28/2018.
Please also note, USCIS recently announced the suspension of premium processing for some H-1B cases. H-1B cases filed by Johns Hopkins University are NOT impacted by this suspension. JHU remains eligible to file H-1B cases under premium processing.
